Brooklyn is 3!

It has officially been three years since my life changed forever and we welcomed this beautiful little bundle into our lives.

Brooklyn brings so much joy to our family and her personality is changing and growing all the time. She is sweet and sassy, independent and sensitive, friendly and cautious, funny and cuddly.

We had a little Tangled themed Birthday Party for Brooklyn, because she insisted on a "Punzel" cake!

The party was so much fun. I'm not sure who had more fun Brooklyn or me?! Seeing the excitement on her face instantly puts a smile on mine.

Brooklyn's friends Laynee and Trevor came, as well as the grandparents and some of mommy and daddy's friends. We decided to send off some floating lanterns after the pasta barbeque! We only let off two of the ten that we had because THOSE THINGS TAKE OFF!! And they don't just go straight up! (Blonde moment, I know!) I was certain that we were going to set this dry desert on fire when it landed. Brooklyn thought it was so neat though, so it was worth it! :)

I had so much fun asking Brooklyn her 20 Birthday Questions. Just so we remember what she liked when she turned 3. Her responses were so sincere, which made me laugh even harder. :)

20 Birthday Questions! - It was so fun asking Brooklyn these questions. Her responses were so sincere

Camping and Easter!

We were able to go camping out on the West Desert of Utah with the Aagard Family. It was such a fun get-away for us.

My dad showed us the old horse traps that they use to drive the wild horses into to round them up. It was seriously so cool! I don't know why he's never shown us that before.

Don't you love that we tied Kenzi's Binky to her coat with bailing twine. Hehehe, we were so sick of having to rinse it off from falling in the dirt. Look out Etsy... might be the big new thing. :) Kenz loved the camping trip!! (Well minus the night-time. Ugh!)

Then Easter came. The bunny found us!

The girls were REALLY into the egg hunting! We went to 3 different egg hunts that we're going on around town in Castle Dale. Kenzi got an egg in each hand an wouldn't let go for anything. Dying eggs was an adventure too!

However my favorite thing about Easter was going to church and having to teach about the Resurrection in Relief Society. I am so grateful to my Savior and his sacrifice for us. Especially because we can be a family FOREVER!!

Should have been...

I should have been a hair dresser...
I should have been a cosmetologist...
I should have been a fashion designer...
Oh all the things I could have done, but being a Mommy is the best job of all. Being a Mommy I get to do it all! :)

Okay... maybe I shouldn't be all of those things, but I sure have fun pretending. :)
