Green River Trip!

We started off the trip to Green River on Thursday the 13th of August. And due to the extremely hot heat the first activity that we did, besides cleaning the motel, was swimming! Brooklyn wasn't really sure what to think about the water at first, but loved it after a couple of tries.Dad playing in the water with Brooklyn.Brooklyn catching some rays with mom. Then on Saturday when Brandon's brother Joseph and his girlfriend Beth arrived from New York, we went to Moab. This is us hiking to delicate arch. Brooklyn was probably a over dressed for such a hot hike, but you know how us mothers can be, I was just really paranoid that she would get sunburned. Guess all that clothing paid off, because she didn't get sunburned.Delicate Arch, you know the famous one that is on Utah License Plates.Us at the Green River Gyser, we still haven't seen it go off yet, but it always gets really close. We waited around extra long to see it go off, so in the meantime we did some shot gun bowling. Pretty self-explanatory. You set up wooden pins like bowling pins and get two shots, then keep score just like bowling. We left after being in Green River for a week to attend a baby shower of my cousin's wife, Britnie Olsen. They are having a little girl in a couple of weeks. She received tons of great baby gifts and they appear to have everything ready for their baby to get here. This is Brooklyn with her second cousin Baylor, Rusty and Kristen Olsen's little boy. They are three months apart.Brooklyn looked so peaceful sleeping. She was out, despite the noise and constant chatter from the women all around at the shower. Brandon came up after the shower and we had a family reunion with the Olsen side, my mom's side of the family. It was really good to see Jim, Angie, Bradley, Chris, and Laura, who live in Iowa and we don't get to see very often.
Maggie's pups are getting huge now. They will be four weeks old in a couple of days, and they are already starting to eat soft dog food. It's crazy that they will be gone in a couple of weeks!

  6. It was so fun to see you guys! The little pic of Baylor and Brooklyn is so classic. I still can't believe they slept through all those crazy ladies!

I'm totally a freak about the sun too. I always feel like B is probably roasting, but I don't want him to burn either!

  9. I would have homes lined up but I would keep them until 8 weeks of age. 6 weeks just seems a little young to me. We kept ours until they were 8 weeks

  10. K will do. We just got Maggie at 6 weeks so I just figured. I'm afraid the longer we keep them the more attached we'll get.

  11. You do became more attached. Advertise now but don't let them go until close to 8 weeks.I think they are a little more adjusted. You can do what you want. Alot of people sell them at 6 wekks.
