  1. I love my swing, boppy, and vibrating bouncy chair.

  2. The Boppy is a #1 must. you can get them at target or babies r us. They are a little seat that forms to the baby and helps them sit up. We would take ours everywhere with us. they work good at the resturaunt to put the baby on the table, church, on the counter while you cook. You name it! a baby walker I would say is not worth it.I would go with the exersaucer instead. Mine liked thise a lot better. A swing works for most babies. Some don't like them so you might want to wait and try her in one and see how she does before you spend all that money. The vibarating bouncing chair is great but you can only use it until they are about 5 months so find a cheap one. hopethis helps!

  3. A boppy is a pillow shaped like a toilet seat. Used for lots of different things. Nver had one myself but sometimes wish I did when my babies were younger. Have you ever heard of the Bumbo seats? If a baby can hold its head up, they can sit in one of these. Very nice to help them learn to sit up and when you start feeding them solid food.

  5. I thought of something else. Changing tables are nice when the baby is new and mommy is recovering. Personally I didn't use mine past two months. Maybe because it was upstairs. If you can find one that is also a dresser, it would be better. When it can be used for storage, drawers are better because when the baby gets older, they'll pull stuff off of shelves.

  6. Here are some of the things I liked.

    Swing
    Boppy
    Breast Pump
    Nursing cover
    Bumbo/Bebe pod
    Playmat
    Exersaucer
    Changing table
    Travel system
Space saver high chair- straps onto chair and you can take with you when you travel.

Email me with any questions!! I emailed you a few weeks ago but I'm not sure I sent it to the right one. I need to send you your baby shower gift. Do you still live in Logan at the same address that is on our friend's address sheet?

  7. I totally agree with Autum on the space saver high chair. It is so much easier than a larger high chair & you can take it with you. We loved our tub we had with Zander. It is a plastic tub with a slanted back so when the baby is a little older it can sit in it & lean against the back. But it also came with a little hammock type deal that hooked on to the edges of the tub & he layed on it so that it kept him from being submerged in the water when he was a newborn. I've seen them at Wal-Mart & they are blue. But I don't know the brand. Good luck!!

  8. I had the tub that Sarah was talking about and I loved it. My baby also loved his Exersaucer, it was about the only thing that would entertain him long enough for me to get ready. I used my travel system everyday. It was so nice to be able to leave him in his carseat and put it right onto the stroller. I also have a mirror in my car that makes noises and it is so nice so I can see what he is doing plus it entertains him. I thought that I needed a changing table but, I only used it a few times. My baby also really liked his playmat.

  9. Bumbo seat... love love love! So nice, my girls like it because they can sit up at watch what I'm doing, I like it because that means I have free arms.
Jumperoo... a mix between an exersaucer and a jumper. They can jump, you don't need a doorway, and there's plenty of toys around it to keep them entertained.
Swing... for the first month they were home, Evelyn wouldn't sleep in anything else. Yes, I know you're not supposed to let them sleep in it, but you do what you gotta do. (plus Eve had acid reflux so she needed to be propped up most of the time)
Cloth diapers... not for them to wear but for you to use as burp rags, not the single sheet ones you find at Wal-Mart but the 3 layered ones, I've only ever been able to find them at Babies R Us.
Boppy... I originally got mine to use while nursing and it was nice for a while, but there were times when it felt like it was more in the way then anything else. But now I use it, since my girls are learning to sit up on their own I like to set it around them to keep them from falling too hard.
I hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions.

  10. It looks like you already got a great list. I'll second some of them. The boppy pillow was great for breat feeding for me. It was less work holding the baby the whole time while feeding. Also the bouncer is great, but make sure it vibrates also. That way it always has movement without you bouncing it all the time. But every baby is different, I just hope that this one of mine is going to be as easy as Rylee was. Good luck with everything.

  11. Wow, I'm really glad you posted about this because I need to know this stuff now too! There's some great comments on here! Sorry, I'm not any help in this area, but I'm glad so many other people are!

  12. Also a sleep positioner. Tanner would not sleep without it. They are so used to being so confined that even though i would swaddle him he didnt feel confined enough. That helped a ton. But all babies are different. Tanner would jut only s;eep if i heald him until i got that. So maybe if you have that problem then get one. and also those swaddling blankets. It looks like they are in a straight jacket . but if you baby likes to be swaddled so good. Both are at babies r us or walmart. Good luck and you will be suprised how instincts do kick in.

  13. Okay first of all...just found your website. Didn't realize you were so close to baby time!! We're so excited for you both. (And Amanda you look beautiful!)
I'd have to say baby must-haves are tons of onesies, burp rags, and dreft detergent. Other than that stacking cups have been the best toy we invested in--they play with them from 6 months--to 10 years (or more!)

  14. Here is my list. I'm thinking as I write so I'm sure I'll forget or write too much. My sling was my number one favorite. Not a snugglie sp? but an adjustable sling. my swing. exersauser for sure. BREAST PUMP! They mean date night and a little freedom for me and I'm a way better mom when I get date night. Don't try to save money here!! Medela pump in style is what I have and I've used it for both kids and most of my friends have borrowed it. Come to think of it if you have a friend with one ask to borrow it, dosen't hurt to try. Swaddle blankets-thin ones for summer. I just got one of those yellow foam sponge bears for the bath and bathed my kids in the sink until they could go in the bath-easier on us tall girls. I didn't like the boppy, did not put the baby high enough. I kind of like my bumbo. Lastly the thing that SAVED me with my first baby is a nursing consultant. Everyone is different but if this is the way you want to go and you have a hard time-just get help. So you might want a number on hand. Lastly, my snap and go. The lightest stroller for the first while. The lighter the stroller the better. Ok this is a long list for someone you barely know. Sorry.
